The Salvador Dali Museum

www.salvadordalimuseum.org

also check out this fabulous online Dali Gallery
The whole website is an amazing Dali resource.

The exibit Revealing Dali included 4 sections. I spent most of my time in...

"God" - mostly classics, catholic Dali (bah) but of course amazingly done, and they included Profanation of the Host, yay!

"Perception" - his surrealist period, fun fun! My fav was 'Paranoia'?, but evidently I'm either remembering the name wrong or have no web searching skills because I can't find it anywhere... probably the former.

I was also drawn to a drawing of Leda and the Swan which I can't find anywhere either! If I do, I'll post it. It is a rather aggressive interpretation, perhaps a little too risque for the www? (sarcasm :-|)

and Suez ...death...

couldn't take pictures inside so here's the outside :-P

lizard face off (the little guy just ate a worm... vicious bugger)
the trolly was cool :-)

If you were to...

choose a partner for The Amazing Race, who would you choose?

A tip of my hat to those of you who don't watch reality TV.

A brief description: The Amazing Race is a reality show that sends several pairs of people to different locations around the world. The first pair to reach the last destination first wins 1 million dollars. They are given air fare and a small amount of money, and often times within one country the means of travel is a task (such as herding llamas into a pen in exchange for a ride from the herders). They also eliminate pairs that check in last at certain locations along the way. So serious these people are and such bickering. *sigh*

Oh yes! I thought it would be fun to play the 'If' game whilst I'm traveling. Feel free to toss if questions back at me. You know you wanna play... 'tis fun! ;-)

Patience is a virtue...

or so they tell me.

I've got no kayak pics and my evening is booked! The film 'Alice's restaurant' is waiting beside my crochet hook and half a hat. Hell yeah! Pretty sure that Ryan suffered through all 19 minutes of the song to enjoy my enjoyment :-)

Obie said he was going to put us in the cell.
Said, "Kid, I'm going to put you in the cell, I want your wallet and your belt."
And I said, "Obie, I can understand you wanting my wallet so I don't have any money to spend in the cell, but what do you want my belt for?"
And he said, "Kid, we don't want any hangings."
I said, "Obie, did you think I was going to hang myself for littering?"
Obie said he was making sure, and friends Obie was, cause he took out the toilet seat so I couldn't hit myself over the head and drown, and he took out the toilet paper so I couldn't bend the bars, roll the toilet paper out the window, slide down the roll and have an escape.

What a good pick Mr. James :-) Grassyass!

Arlo Gutherie rocks!

Let's see if...

I can actually keep this up to date :-)

I figure this may be the most efficient way to share pictures, thoughts, and random reminders of my continued existence for those of you with short memories. Oh wait, thats me! (with the short memory ;-)

I'll be gettin' kayaking pics up tomorrow. After losing my last camera to the Gulf of Mexico, I decided not to tempt Hermes, Loki, Coyote or whoever else might find it funny to sink a second one. So Mary took pics :-) The Rupert and Tiger series will begin soon as well!
